The only f2p source of cubes in MSEA is actually EB boxes and AH as herbalism is just too non cost-effective in getting cubes.
MCC (Yellow Cube in MSEA) and Meisters (Purple Cube in MSEA) are actually fully tradable in MSEA and the bosses in SEA never dropped them, just like in KMS. Heyya, I know that this isn't important regarding your post and I do really want to see Nexon NA actually listens to the player base and not follow the path of MSEA, but a part of me just feels like pointing it out.

Included in this patch is the removal of all existing Master Craftsman Cubes and Meister Cubes from daily/weekly bosses, alongside the additional removal of Cubic Blades/Chaos Cubic Blades needed to synth said Cubes from herb/ore veins (50% Golden Hammers are also removed from ebosses, for what it's worth). NexonNA copy-pastes another patch from KR, as per-usual (v.224).
